Booking choice: The NZONE Queenstown skydive, from $217 per person. Check dates Compare the options below
Queenstown skydive prices look simple until you get to the counter: the advertised price is for the lowest jump, the photo and video pack is sold separately, and hotel pickup is not part of the deal.
Prices below come from NZONE's own price list and the live Viator listing in October 2026. They are in New Zealand dollars unless marked otherwise, and the checkout price is the one that counts.
The quick answer
NZONE charges NZ$379 for a 9,000 ft tandem, NZ$469 for 12,000 ft and NZ$575 for 15,000 ft. On Viator the jump starts at about US$217, which is the 9,000 ft price. Photo and video packs cost NZ$220 to NZ$395 on top. The coach from 35 Shotover Street to the drop zone is included; hotel pickup is not.

How much is a skydive in Queenstown in 2026?
NZ$379 from 9,000 ft, NZ$469 from 12,000 ft and NZ$575 from 15,000 ft at NZONE, the operator of the Queenstown jump.
Each price includes the tandem jump with a Tandem Master, the briefing, all the kit and the courtesy coach between town and the drop zone. The only difference between them is how high the plane climbs, and so how long you fall.
| Height | Freefall | NZONE price | About in US$ |

| 15,000 ft | Up to 60 seconds | NZ$575 | About $330 (converted) |

Check dates for the NZONE Queenstown skydiveWhy does the price go up at checkout?
Because about $217 is the starting price for the 9,000 ft jump; you choose 12,000 or 15,000 ft at checkout and the price rises.
Our US dollar figures for the higher jumps are rough conversions of NZONE's NZ$ prices at about 0.57 US$ per NZ$, not Viator prices, so expect differences with exchange rates; check the live price at checkout. The Viator listing has the same from-price as NZONE's own 9,000 ft fare.
How much are the photo and video packages?
NZ$220 for the handicam pack, NZ$333 for a dedicated freefall photographer and NZ$395 for both.
The handicam pack uses a camera on your Tandem Master's wrist and covers the ground, the plane, the exit, freefall and the canopy ride. The freefall photographer jumps alongside you for the outside shots. Every pack comes as an edited HD video and 40 or more photos online. The photographer packages cannot be pre-booked: they are sold on the day, subject to availability.

Can you take your own camera instead?
No: cameras, GoPros and smart glasses are not allowed on the jump, under the industry's safety rules.
You can take photos on the ground. Several reviewers who bought a pack were glad they did; one guest received theirs in under two hours.

- Safety briefing
- Jumpsuit, hat, goggles and gloves
- Coach from 35 Shotover Street to the drop zone and back

Are there surcharges or hidden costs?
A 1.2% card surcharge applies to card payments at the drop zone or by phone, and heavier jumpers may be assessed on the day.
NZ Eftpos and debit cards are exempt from the surcharge. Anyone 95 kg or over is assessed by the Tandem Master at the drop zone; Skydive Wanaka's listing names weight surcharges from 95 kg. Children pay the same price as adults.
Is it cheaper to book direct or on Viator?
The 9,000 ft from-price is the same; the difference is the booking terms.
On Viator you can cancel for a full refund up to 24 hours before, and you see over 1,400 reviews in one place. If the weather stops the jump, NZONE's own policy applies either way: a new slot, or a full refund from wherever you paid.
Same starting price, free cancellation: check your date before planning the rest of the trip.
Check dates for the NZONE Queenstown skydiveIs a Queenstown skydive worth the money?
For most people, yes: it rates 4.7 from about 1,500 reviews, and the complaints we found in the reviews were mostly about the weather, not the jump.
If the cost of 15,000 ft plus photos is too much, 9,000 ft with the handicam pack is the cheapest complete package. If you are unsure which height to choose, read 9,000, 12,000 or 15,000 ft.
